As you might have already read some of our previous posts on our webiste or on other forums on the internet, Vyonyx introduced recently a new type of service, called “Qucksilver images”. The idea behind it is to produce memorable and inspiring images on very tight deadlines and on a sensitive budget, using all digital tools available at one’s disposition: 3D models, photographic reference imagery and paining.

Tutorial04: Creating a stadium crowd in Vue xStream

In one of our previous tutorials we were explaining how to create a crowd using Photoshop custom brushes. That technique prooves to be very useful for 2D still images, but what is then the easiest and the most effective way of creating a convincing crowd in 3D,soething that can be used in animation fly-throughs? A possible solution we are going to discuss more in detail below is using Vue xStream- a great piece of software which already established itself as a leader in simulations of realstic landscapes and atmpospheres. This time though, we will not be populating landscapes but rather, using its powerful ecosystem tools, we will be populating stadium benches with ca. 35,000 spectators!
